Krampus: [kram-puh s]: Especially popular in Germanic and Slovakian cultures, Krampus, a half goat like demon, carrying a birch stick, chain, and a sack, is one of the companions of jolly ol Saint Nicholas. During the Christmas season, Krampus would punish the children who misbehaved while Saint Nicholas would reward the well-behaved children with gifts.
